Learn to climb from scratch and pick up the basics on a 1 or 2 day course. This could either be a taster day or weekend or a more formal detailed course. Our Learn To Climb Course is designed to be fun whilst learning some valuable technical skills along the way. The course will cover:

Learn the Basics of Equipment Safety & Techniques. Highlights

Our rock climbing course will start with a thorough introduction of the different pieces of equipment and demonstrate how to use them safely. Additionally, you'll learn the basics of knot-tying and belaying techniques in order to ensure your climb is secure. Once you feel confident in your equipment knowledge, it's time to hit the rock face - an adventure awaits!

Climb Various Types of Routes and Obstacles

Once you have the essentials of indoor climbing down, it’s time to tackle some of Snowdonia’s more challenging rock faces outdoors. Our professionals will teach you how to recognize and climb different types of routes, safely scramble across slabs and crosses overhangs. With our help, you will be equipped with the skills necessary to enjoy hours at a variety of Snowdonia locations year round.

Enhance Your Movement with Balance Exercises

In addition to the traditional climbing skills such as rope management and rappelling, our course will also include exercises designed to develop your balance. Practicing these skills repeatedly can help you improve your accuracy, precision and control while scaling a rock face. By combining different types of movement and stretching techniques, you can increase your body’s agility and flexibility as well as get more out of each climb. Challenge Yourself With Progressive Challenges & Training

Our progressive challenges and training allow you to advance at your own pace, beginning with the basics of rockclimbing before building up to more advanced skills. You’ll be able to work on different aspects of the sport such as building and clipping in anchors, route finding and crack climbing. You’ll also have the opportunity to test yourself by attempting lead climbs or creating first-ascent routes. Regardless of your level or experience, there are plenty of options for everyone!

What will your rock climbing day be like?

We usually check the weather a few days before your adventure and then we will contact you and give a suitable meet point. The sessions are usually 2-4hrs in length run for 1 day.. We will start with some warmup exercises and easy bouldering before our feet leave the ground . We then practice belaying before we tie into the ropes and start the real adventure. If we have time we may even do an abseil.
